This pair of buruial shoes came from a defunct NY fuenral home. They were used for paupers who couldn't afford real shoes for their funeal attire or when disease kept the deceased's foot from fitting in their own shoes. They are an elastic slipper style for easy dressing. They are a very attractive violet velvet color and will come in their original box. (WOMEN'S PRACTICAL BURIAL FOOTWEAR - COLUMBUS OHIO) I believe these to be from the 1950's.
